SKODA FAVORIT Rare

As of 2025 Q4, 365 SKODA FAVORITs remain registered in the UK — a genuinely rare sight on today's roads. That's down from a peak of 720 in 2014 Q3 — only 51% of the high-water mark, a loss of about 355 cars. They're disappearing at roughly 10 a year (2.7% of what's left), a pace that would halve the survivors by around 2051 if it held — though in practice the last, most-cherished examples tend to linger far longer. Tellingly, 87% are declared SORN — kept off the road in garages and barns rather than driven, the signature of a car being looked after rather than used up.

The Škoda Favorit (Type 781) is a supermini car which was made by Škoda Auto from 1987 to 1995. The Favorit was Škoda's first car to follow the European trend of locating the engine at the front, mounted transversely, and was also their first car to use front-wheel drive. It was premiered in July 1987 at the Brno Engineering Fair in Czechoslovakia. The Favorit name...
